2027 Genesis GV70: A Familiar Favorite Gets Sharper

The 2027 GV70 has long been one of our most popular SUVs, and this year adds a new top trim called Prestige Graphite for shoppers who want an even more upscale option.

Under the hood, the standard engine is a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder making 300 horsepower, and you can step up to a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 horsepower. Inside, you get a 27-inch OLED display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an available 12-inch head-up display. You can also add Digital Key 2, which lets you lock, unlock, and start your GV70 from your phone or smartwatch. The GV70 already carries an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating, so this refresh builds on a genuinely safe foundation.

2027 Genesis Electrified GV70: All the Style, Zero Gas

Want the GV70’s looks without the trips to the pump? The Electrified GV70 pairs an 84-kWh battery with up to 250 miles of range. Dual motors produce up to 429 horsepower, or 483 horsepower with Boost Mode for 10 seconds, getting you to 60 mph in about 5 seconds.

It shares the GV70’s 27-inch OLED display, Digital Key 2, and Bang & Olufsen audio, plus fast charging that goes from 10% to 80% in as little as 19 minutes. It also carries a 2026 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating, so going electric here means no compromise on safety.

2027 Genesis GV80: More Room, Same Refinement

Need extra seats? The GV80 seats up to seven, with a third row standard on most trims. It offers the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder or 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engines as the GV70, plus features like Mood Curator, an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a fingerprint reader for driver profiles. Like its smaller sibling, the GV80 already holds an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award and a 5-Star NHTSA rating.

2027 Genesis G70: A Steady, Affordable Choice

Not every model needs a big overhaul. The 2027 G70 carries over with the same sharp look and fun-to-drive feel. You get a 2.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder with 300 horsepower or a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 365 horsepower, both paired with an 8-speed automatic. It remains one of the more affordable ways into a true Genesis luxury sedan.

2027 Genesis G80: Sedan Luxury with SUV-Level Tech

The G80 sedan pairs available twin-turbo V6 power (up to 375 horsepower) with tech like rear-wheel steering, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen system. It already holds a 2026 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, so it delivers sedan elegance without giving up modern safety tech.

2027 Genesis G90: The Flagship Sedan, Refined

At the top of the sedan lineup sits the G90, Genesis’s most luxurious car. It runs a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with a 48V e-Supercharger. It adds touches like massaging seats, a rear-seat touch display, and an available multi-chamber air suspension for an exceptionally smooth ride.

Looking Further Ahead: The All-New Genesis GV90

The biggest news on the horizon is the 2027 Genesis GV90, a full-size electric SUV set to be the brand’s new flagship. Genesis officially unveiled it as a 2027 model, and it is the largest and most advanced Genesis ever made. (You may see it listed as a “2028” model on a few early preview sites — that is just some outlets guessing ahead of the official reveal. Genesis itself is calling it the 2027 GV90.)

Early specs point to a dual-motor setup with 657 horsepower, a 123.5-kWh battery, and about 311 miles of range. It seats up to seven, with a four-seat “Neolun” configuration available. Inside, expect a huge 23.6-inch expandable display, a 25-inch head-up display, and premium Bang & Olufsen sound. Genesis has not announced US pricing or an exact on-sale date yet.
